The sulfur gesso separation technology in the coking plant has always been an important technical problem in view of environmental protection and the value-added by-products. The frame filter press is used as a substitute for sulfur melting pot in some processes because the latter has high failure rate, high requirement for materials, and excess matching equipment. However, the three-column centrifuge is used to substitute for frame filter press in some processes because the frame filter press brings terrible smell, environment pollution, and high moisture content in the filter mass. Even the three-column centrifuge is not the optimum choice because of low efficiency and limited capacity influenced by fluidity. In recent years, the company undertakes research with several domestic steel coking plants to apply LW horizontal spiral decanter centrifuge in sulfur foam separation, and achieves good effect. At present, the project is widely promoted and warmly welcomed owing to high automation degree and good separation effect. 。
